The Mobile Unit is a project which is the result of an
investment made by COLLABOR8 partners. This project has been
designed and realized by the Dutch partner "Studio VMK."
Studio VMK stimulates the urban and economic development of the
Veemarktkwartier, a city zone in Tilburg, and is running this
project with creative entrepreneurs from that area. 
The Veemarktkwartier is the only urban participant in the COLLABOR8-project. In this city zone, the entrepreneurs occupy themselves with new media, audio-visual technology and communication design. The other partners within the project felt that the knowledge from these entrepreneurs, could help the entrepreneurs from their own area's with their businesses. Thus the idea for the Mobile Unit was born.
The visits of the Mobile Unit to the COLLABOR8 partners are called "Roadshows". A team of entrepreneurs travel with a VMK jeep and trailer to the area, where the Mobile Unit is deployed for a three day program. During the Roadshow a team of VMK-entrepreneurs provide B2B consults, creative workshops and blast presentations to the touristic, agricultural and ecological entrepreneurs in the partner areas. In the Mobile Unit other ways of thinking and promoting are shown and new ideas are born. Thus far the Roadshows have been very successful. The expectations for the coming Spring Tour are therefore very high! During the Spring Tour the Mobile Unit will visit the two COLLABOR8 partner areas: those of the South Downs National Park Authority in England and South Kerry Development Partnership in Ireland.
